Since its official establishment in 2009, The Brightside Tavern has stood as a vibrant cornerstone of the Jersey City community. The journey began in 2007 when owner Tom “Two Scoops” Parisi acquired a local dive bar and embarked on a four-year mission to “un-dive” it, meticulously expanding the space into a multi-room sanctuary that mirrors the welcoming spirit of Cheers. Nestled on Bright Street between the Hudson River and I-78—just steps from Liberty State Park—this locally owned landmark is celebrated as one of the most multicultural destinations in the NYC metro area. The atmosphere is a dynamic blend of relaxation and high energy. Whether patrons are drawn to the soulful resonance of the baby grand piano during Monday night jazz sessions or the spirited fun of nightly karaoke and the upstairs game room, there is a space for everyone. The culinary offerings are equally diverse. From signature Margherita pizzas and Gorgonzola Apple salads to the fan-favorite Cajun Trio Pasta and crab cake sliders, the menu caters to all, including those seeking vegan options.
